Both parents are so elegant, one a little bit more solemn and the other more jovial.

I have been found out! I could not resist peeling back just a little to have a peek, but the leaves were so thick and brittle that they broke.

Hmm, I am curious which parent is the solemn one and which is jovial. Is Showmaster the jovial one? The deep red of Tosca could be downright sinister.

Noooo. Black Brauty is sinister, elegant Tosca just has rich and dramatic drapery.

It's going to be beautiful! I'd recommend that you expose it to as much direct sunlight as you can now so that the flowers would color up right.

Thank you all. This seedling is two years old, but all of the other seedlings appear to need one or two additional years before they will be large enough too bloom. As for the color, in person it does not strike me as being close to watermelon. What catches my attention, but which is not captured in the photo, is that the veins are a dark blood red. I was pondering "Circulation" or "Lifeblood" its as its name, but maybe something heart related. Bill
