What kind of palms you growing?Different palms have different needs sometimes.How big are they?Lutz stakes are good for full size palms.More info please.

I see your point! I am definitely not growing full sized palms! I am talking about seedling-1 year size. The palm type is Canary Island Date Palm or Phoenix Canariensis. I think all I will need is a general fertilizer.

Yes.That small,l would not even fertilize at all.They don't need it yet.You will burn and kill.

No benefit.They will grow no faster.I think grass grows faster.lol.A very slow grower.Until they are in ground for a long while.With some size they move a tad bit more.Any you have ever seen of full size are over 100 years old.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. I have grown close to 300 species of palms professionally for 30 years and to say any palm will not grow any faster when it is fertilized as opposed to not being fertilized is not logical. Even a slow growing palm will look better and grow faster when it is fertilized. I would suggest potting up half of them with the Dynamite incorporated in the soil and then the other half without if you really want to. The ones with the fertilizer will be at least twice the size in a year or two. You don't have to believe me, do the experiment and see for yourself. That is what I have always done. The Dynamite has about a half dozen minor elements in it. So, palms don't ever get minor element deficiencies? Do you know how to fix that? Minor elements. Palms don't need Nitrogen to help them grow? Palms have a continuous growth pattern. To make them grow the best, using a fertilizer that has a constant even feed, will keep them growing at a steady level. Even though the average person will never see the difference, when a palm stops getting fertilized for 6 weeks, it can take 9 months for it to catch up to the speedf it was growing when it was being fertilized correctly. I think your soil has fertilizer mixed in it already, but there will be a time that it runs out. Do the experiment, I would bet money you will see the difference in the long run. If you use the Dynamite, keep in mind that it only lasts 6 months, so put a little more in the soil every 6 months.

That's what I meant.Since they are young seedlings and the potting mix already has fertilizer in it.Yes eventually they will need more.Yes,it will keep them growing healthy.At their best.But,speed up the growth rate?This I will have to put to the test.
