(Zone 9)

Hi I am new to this forum and a amateur orchid grower. I normally drown them with water but this time, I have paid more attention to the needs of my orchid.

Im not sure whats going on with the leaf of my orchid. The orchid mainly lives in doors on my desk at work with a gentle breeze of a fan blowing on the roots. In the afternoons I set the orchid outside on the window seal to get some sunlight. The spot on the leaf feels very soft and is a different color from the rest of the leaf. Is this the slow death of my orchid? Any and all advice welcome. Thanks
