Furnish an empty room

We moved in a few months ago. Basement living room still empty. Need some ideas on what type of furniture would work in this room with the fireplace. And planning having a TV. And a treadmill on the landing part by back door. (Excuse the mess)
Third photo is what I've come up with. Ignore the style and color. Just going for the types of pieces.
