I have a dogwood tree that is covered with mature English ivy. Bees seemed to really love it last fall. I was considering removing it from the tree to hopefully save the tree, which is pretty old and a good size. I live in a suburban neighborhood with lots of professionally landscaped lawns etc. my yard isn't huge but I'd like to do my part to support bees in the area and will leave the ivy if it's important to the bees. It's a little unsightly and will peobably kill the dogwood eventually, so if not a big deal to those bees, I'm inclined to try to get rid of it and see all those beautiful dogwood blooms come spring. Any thoughts? Thanks to you all :)
