also missed my dormant spray and prebloom spray. Will use an orchard spray after bees slow down maybe a fungus spray for brown rot in the next day or two. I use orchard spray ever 10 days after blooms drop to control the plum curculio and brown rot.

Mammy, You don't spray while they are in bloom. If you spray a pesticide while the bees are pollinating your flowers, you'll either kill the bees or drive them away and then there will be no pollination and likely little to no fruit.

Someone who actually sprays their fruit trees will have to tell you what they you as generally I do not spray mine, but I know that if you look for fruit tree sprays in the pesticide sections in the stores, they are not hard to find.

Oldokie, I think the early spring snuck up on a lot of fruit tree growers. It didn't bother me since I don't spray but I have neighbors who missed the pre-bloom spraying as well. I am not 100% adamantly opposed to spraying, but rarely have issues with plum curculio or brown rot so just don't do it. If I ever start having a problem with them, I'd likely spray with something. If they ever invent a spray that will stop the squirrels from stealing peaches, I would use it.

Dawn. The squirrel spray is called an air rifle. Lol. This year I have 2 new lab puppies that will hopefully be on squirrel patrol.

I'll keep that in mind, Mike. Our good squirrel dog passed away several years back and our other older dogs apparently are too lazy to chase a squirrel. Our two puppies are now about 18 months old and lack the self-discipline to chase only the squirrels, so they will chase cats, chickens and turkeys and forget they are supposed to be chasing a squirrel. They are good dogs, but have the attention span of a gnat.

Thanks for advice. I had a problem last year with webworms. I know there has to be a simple spray for them.

Last year I sprayed the individual worm-filled webs with neem and that took care of them. There were only three or four webs so it didn't take very long. Neem is an organic spray and it is very effective on webworms. Had the worms already broken free and escape from the web, I likely would have sprayed with an organic caterpillar killer that has Bt 'kurstaki' as its active ingredient. Any of the orchard sprays you buy at the store ought to have some sort of pesticide in it that will get the webworms. I only get webworms maybe 2 or 3 times a decade so they aren't a big issue down here in southcentral OK. I think they generally are much worse in central and northeastern OK.
