How do you account for the weight of the vines?

Once the vines are full size and producing, the weight will pull on the posts. Vineyards use an anchor cable at each end. Are the posts cemented in. Is that sufficient to bear the weight. I really want to do this, but the run I need would be much longer.

Hi ttlss!

Thanks for the question. These posts have two foot concrete bases. Tension can be adjusted at each run of wire. We don't anticipate the need for anchor cables, but something could be fabricated in the event that it became necessary. The garden was installed over five years ago, and everything is working well. I don't think the length of the run is a problem if you space your posts adequately.
