Eastern oklahoma can't dry out and western oklahoma is praying for rain. There is no hope for this state!! They are still predicting a wet spring for us, guess we will wait and see.

Where is all the El Nino rain?

FYI, for those who don't speak Spanish, the English translation is "The Nino".

Today it apparently all is in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. Oh, and in parts of California and the PNW.

We got more rain here today too, and I know y'all will be jealous. We got another 0.01". Try topping that huge amount!

We will be grateful for ANY amount we receive!

I would be fine with just the 1.55 we have had in this event, but looks like we have more to come.

I looked at the radar around 3:45 a.m. because Tim wanted to know if he was going to run into rain while driving to work in Dallas and it looks like rain now is coming up at us from further southeast in Texas than it was before. I guess that cut-off low has been moving further east and finally is far enough east that it seems likely we'll have more than a light mist today.

Most of the puddles in my garden had dried up by very late afternoon yesterday, in the sense that you no longer could see water standing....but you could see very wet ground and soft mud where the water had stood. I doubt I'll even try to walk into my garden into Saturday or Sunday, though I really do need to go into the garden today to harvest strawberries and asparagus. The pathway by the strawberries is really muddy so I hate to even walk in it, but then again, I'd rather get the strawberries harvested before they're over-ripe.

I hope everyone who needs rain gets some, but I'd just as soon not have any more rain here. We have rain in our forecast now for every day through Sunday, and our local TV met said we may not see much sun until Sunday or even Monday. I miss the sun. The cool-season plants are much happier with the weather this week than they were with windy, warm, sunny weather in the preceding weeks, so I guess the weather is better for them at this point than it is for me.
