Lovely bloom Rick. It seems that only the plant is a mini because the bloom is nearly full size!

I love it.

This is a seed grown plant from Adenium_ko 's seed. When I grew my first batch of these, Mini-Size Sun Up Star. I was told by the Ko that the seedling with the curled leaves (not all have this) where the most sought after seedlings.

With my second batch of these, being of mixed colors. I ended up with about 60% that had curled leaves.

Then there was not much or any talk of the DH we hear of now. Although there might be some definite differences. It all seems to myself that with all of the interbreeding of cultivars that it is becoming very difficult to keep up with it all. Will become very difficult to actually say you have a true species or cultivar.

Just my thoughts at this point which none stops me from trying more.

What a great little plant with a BIG flower, it looks super! How old is it please?

It is almost 2yrs. of age. Another has buds forming also.

Great job Rick! I agree the flower looks huge. I tried some seeds but nothing came up, I will have to try again.

Another of the Mini's is pushing out blooms. Amazing how similar these are. Would not have expected it.

Did you cut the Dwarf plant or is it just how it grew? Do they have a small caudex?

Marica, This is how they grow and the caudex is really not that big in relation to it's hieght.

Martin, Thanks. I started these in Feb 2014. Cannot believe it, I really had not given it much thought, the start date. Martin, I am not sure if it was just meant to be for these to bloom this year or if a big factor is that I kept under my lights all winter?

Rick. How is the caudex ?

Stuart, The caudex on these seedlings are nothing to speak of, but under the soil. Who knows. I am taken more with the Curled leaves more than anything. The Flowers are an added bonus.

He told me it was not that big. with the branching tight. I just order one but not with curly leaves.

This Min-Size just does not want to stop blooming. Amazes me that such a tiny plant produces these massive blooms.
