We put black with light marble floors in our white and marble bathroom and just love them.

I would suggest to keep the vanity and also the blue granite. Use pop color on walls and use nice bold accents. It always depends also from the design of the rest of the house.

I would suggest using a large gray tile in a slightly darker gray shade from your existing backsplash tile. I would not paint your cabinet, but would find some contemporary hardware instead in the same finish as your existing shower hardware.

There is special paint for cabinets. Make sure to use it. Primer also.
