Did i ruin my infusion?

So I an Ayurvedic Massage therapist with a basic understanding of eastern herbalism. I thought I would try my hand at western herbalism and make my first salve. But as most of you already know I had to do an oil infusion first.
I chose to use a slow cooker that I purchased today. I set it on the warm setting (the lowest) because my research told me that I should let the oil get above 120F in order to maintain the integrity of the medicine.
Well I checked on my oil after a few hours and stuck a probe down into it to find that it was at 181F. I'm a little bummed out. I cooled it down as quick as I could but did I ruin it? should I throw it out or keep going with just a cold infusion?
thanks for any thoughts out there, Kev
