Wow! What a genuinely nice man. Great story!!!

Amazing! It looks more interesting than any store I've seen.

There are probably umpteen laws about city property and how it was collected that they can't come up with a good way to sell it unless the proceeds went to support something for the city.

"unless the proceeds went to support something for the city."

Exactly! To benefit children through school or library funding would be my first choice. In the video he says employees are not allowed to take things home with them, so he started collecting. I bet American Pickers and Antiques Roadshow would love to visit.

How amazing! I'd love to look around.

What a wonderful story and a terrific man. I think opening the museum to the public and using the funds for educational purposes would be great.

Amazing! Just look at how well organized, displayed, and clean it all is! If I'm reading the date of the story correctly, Mr. Molina would have retired in mid 2015. I hope he still has access to tend to his wonderful collection. It does seem a shame that it's all there, but can't be viewed by the public. I can imagine a lot of people would appreciate all of those "trashy" treasures.

It sounds like the building has some issues. What an incredible auction you could have from that collection.

Fascinating! He has a great eye for displaying, as well as collecting. I could look at stuff like this all day--thanks for sharing!

Wow - an original Fender! And the pewter... amazing what has been tossed out! I too would love to take a look around. Thanks for posting!

It's too bad so many of us are so far away--this would make a great GW field trip!

Thanks for posting it, Allison.

You're welcome. Glad everyone has enjoyed.

What a great story!! Thank you!
