Front entryway!

I am trying to decide on what to put in my front entryway. This would just be used by guests as we use a different entrance. Attached is a pic of my foyer. As well I'm attaching a pic of a bench I am considering. Not sure if I should do a bench on its own or a console table with bench underneath. As well do I place mirror or print above. Any ideas would be appreciated. There is a closet on the wall opposite the bench.

Very nice entry way and yes you can add both the bench and console table.

To me, the bench looks a little squished in that corner, I would try for a console table with a mirror over the table. Good luck

It is a wonderful bench, but does not work in that spot. The scale is too large for the space. I would suggest a solid console cabinet, maybe with doors, then a very large mirror (maybe round with a great frame) over it. Add a tall(ish) lamp and a few accessories. On the short wall to the right, I would add a pair of large stacked pictures with lots of color...maybe large squares. Shades of gray are nice, but only with splashes of serious color.

We have a similar sized foyer, with double doors and coat closet. We use a buffet for storage, a side chair, and painted the interior of the doors bright blue.

Note that the right side door is usually locked, and both doors open out, so we could place the buffet to partially block the right door. The doors open out according to code here in Southwest Fl. For wind mitigation.

Unless you need seating in the area, I would just use console

What if you used a round table in a chair with the mirror over at possibly some picture frames in a vase with flowers on the table that would give you the seating area that you need but also give you a place to put your keys and stuff as you come in the door

A agree the bench is too large. I would go with a dark wood table and a round mirror.

Thanks so much for all your advice! I agree the bench does look too bulky. I was concerned about giving guests a place to sit when the put shoes on. But yes a console would look more appropriate. Barbara thanks also for the ideas of GE art work for the other wall. That would add some interest to the space!

Perhaps sharing a design or two of ours would help here.

If you like it then get it. Just make sure it is the right size for the space. Always measure.

I like the first & second ones as you can add a small storage cube underneath w/o disturbing the design element of the third one. Adding small prints or paintings with detail in them is so wonderful when coming in or going out for your guests to look at.

Also adding a vertical mirror above the console with one or two small, but tall lamps is nice. I love your choice of rug for your entry. Your taste is impeccable so you should not have any problem choosing just the right pieces for the lovely entry.
