Ohhhh Rick! So many on this list have had issues with NBF even when growing bulbs inside. Donna and Jody had some bad times. I think Jody (missing lately) lost nearly everything to it.

Yes Rick , systemic insecticide was usefull for me, before using it I had important infection.with it , I can grow my plants outside in summer.

And when all else fails....hit 'em with a brick!!!! These little devils have gotten into so many of my plants and even the ones that have been treated with a systemic. One year I found a bunch of them dead inside the a bunch of my bulbs, so I don't know if it was a timing thing or not. I usually treat anything going into the house for the fall or storage for the winter, but it may have been too late for some as the eggs may have been laid during the summer.
