No. 1 ("super white granite") as long as the white c'top doesn't give the cabinets a dirty wash water look. It's hard to tell from the pics if the granite is too cold and bright a white for your cabinets. My $.02.

I like #1 better as a stone by itself, but I think #2 would go better with your cabinets.

darker one....lots of light with window and light cabinets...the dark will work..it's a handsome piece.

Which one do you prefer? We do not have to live with it. You do. :)

If I must choose between the two above, I would say the darker. But in my own kitchen, with those cabinets, I would go with a more solid quartz.

If it were me choosing, I'd choose the darker Caesarstone. OTOH, both will work and look good. Have you tried samples of each next to your cabs (or a sample door) in your kitchen space? Sometimes the light in your actual space will make it clear which surface will be the better choice.

I like both which is making it so hard to choose. heres a photo of the backsplash we picked. perhaps it will help...

I prefer the super white in general, but with your cabs I think the darker will look better

The issue for me is the lower cabinets on the peninsula. Am I correct that they are a different, warmer color than the uppers? If so, I would choose a stone that has both warm and cool elements, like Calacatta Gold marble.

If I'm wrong about the peninsula, and it is the same color as everything else, I'd go with the stone in the lower right image.

That's not a bs tile you'll be happy with regardless of your stone choice. It is far too busy with all of the movement in the slabs you're considering. Wait till the counters are installed and see if you still like it. Generally speaking you want either the bs OR the counter to be the star, the eye-catcher. When folks go for complexity in both, they tend to end up in the "I hate my bs" threads.

The backsplash tile does not seem to go with either stone, its much to busy. If your heart is set on that backsplash then I think you need to look for a much more quieter counter but I think it is wiser to wait until counters were in before picking your backsplash.

I think the Coastal Grey Caesarstone would look better with your cabinets. I have to agree that the backsplash doesn't work with either countertop.

I agree. The Caesarstone looks better with your cabinets to me. I think you need a quieter backsplash with either counter, or a quieter counter with that backsplash.

all cabs are the same color its just a bad photo. heres a slightly better one.

I personally don't think super-white goes with the glazed cabinet look. Have you looked at Emperador Dark Marble? The undertones may be a better match and would be similar to the quartz option but with brown instead of gray. There are also several quartz imitations of emperador dark.

Regarding the backsplash - it is very busy and might compete with the cabinets as there is already a lot going on with the cabinets with the raised panels and glazing effect.

I think #2 goes better with your cabinets. And, if it's possible, I too would suggest a simpler backsplash. You have so many lovely elements in the room already that could easily be overwhelmed by such a busy backsplash. I think less is more here, but what's important is what you love!

Is there a counter that would work better with your floors?

Also, please seriously reconsider that backsplash. In my opinion: a. it's way too busy with your beautiful counters and your floor, which also has movement; b. that pencil tile really doesn't go with your traditional style cabinets (it goes maybe with flatfront contemporary cabinets); c. it's already past its trendiness.

One more thought, have you tried any websites that help visualize the counter top / backsplash with cabinets? Here is one that might be helpful (and these cabinets don't have the detail of the glazing, which adds more brown)

I agree that you need to look for a different backsplash. This one is just too modern looking for the cabinets. Also agree that the darker counter is much better.

got it at costco so should be an easy return. i get that point. definitely will decide once the counter is in.

Sorry but here's another vote for "lose the backsplash" It's super busy and your cabinets (which are beautiful by the way - already have enough going on with the glaze). Plus a busy counter with a busy BS almost always clash. I always tell myself, the gaudier something is, the quicker it will go out of style. Your cabinets and countertop choices are more subtle. I personally would choose the darker counter. It will highlight the glaze in your cabinets. Good luck!!

The darker one. Beautiful together. I agree re: a different backsplash.

Oh good, all the cabs are the same color then. This is a combo I like, but it m not a fan of the swirls in the Quartz (If you love them then go for it!). Here is your cabinet finish, the stone slab, and some glazes you might consider from Fireclay Tile, budget permitting: Foggy Morning, Gardenia and French Linen. These come in a number of shapes.
