Ever Beautiful

This is one of Optimara's Space Violets. My husband bought it at a grocery store and gave it to me 3 years ago for Valentine's Day. That was about two and a half years before I knew anything about African violets besides give them some light and water. It has managed to survive!

Thank you everyone. Rosie, I only have 3 violets with IDs, this one, my Playful Kisses that I posted a few weeks ago and Harmony's White Lace which is even older than this one. It has a thick neck and needs to be repotted. It seems like it always has buds and/or blooms that range from mostly white with a little blue to more blue than white. I have 5 other plants that are noids, 2 of which are minis and of course, several plantlets! There is a show and sale here in April. I've never been to one but might attend if I'm not out of town that weekend. If I do, I would imagine that I won't be able to resist buying something.

Thanks suecirish! When I found out that I should have been periodically removing outer leaves and repotting, I think I got a little overzealous with the leaf removal. It took a while for it to grow and bloom but now is large again and blooms like mad. Enjoy yours, it will have wonderful blooms.

I've not seen AV's sold in a grocery store with named labels. Were these named or did you look them up ?

I know, Rosie. It must have been a special deal for Valentine's Day. I've not seen any since. Leon, it didn't say Ever Beautiful on it but had a couple different tags talking about it being one of their Space Violets and a little about the program. When I looked up the Space Violets, there were only a few and this one fit the description of Ever Beautiful. Other violets that they carry are never named as far as I know.
