I was in line at the cashier and a another customer really liked it - she called it "giant chives" <smile>. It's got great deep color and sheen this one.

If you're like the rest of us sans addicts, you're going to have a tough time sticking to your 'diet'. Falling off the wagon is inevitable.

Thank you akrrm, I'm sticking to it for now, got an Echeveria I coveted, subrigida - cost as much as a Sans but it gets 18" - 24" across so should be spectacular (bluish-green powdery leaves with a translucent red margin). All the Sans are outside as temps are back up to the 80's an 60's at night - until Thursday.

Russ, I found it at that nursery with the little greenhouse half filled with Sans. There were many of them so it took until now (picking up a unique one of this and that) before I finally took one home. I'm hoping to stay strong until the coming up plant sales, one of which is The Huntington's annual plant sale - and I expect they will have things rarely seen in commerce. I'm running out of room!

I counted the growths, and there are 5. Four of them are all the same plant. I was given a small start from Stush and I added it. This plant grows slowly, but it doesn't seem to shed the old leaves. I haven't done anything special with it. I really have had my share of failures as well. Last spring I put my plants outside mid-May, and it was too soon and I lost some and set others back. What a mistake that was. I will wait til Memorial Day this time.

You are so fortunate to have those nurseries nearby. We don't have anything to compare out here in Georgia. Have fun at the Huntington.
