Absolutely not...a fabulous ceramic backsplash would add a little dimension and texture to the kitchen.

We are remodeling our kitchen and we are going with quartz counter tops and a subway tile for the wall. My Quartz tops are going to be mostly white with some color throughout.(cambria's snowdon white) and the subway tiles will be white. I think in your kitchen, if you did just one color for the tile it would look great. Good luck!

The subway tile can be done in a herringbone pattern for some interest.

I'm not an expert by any means but, I think the standard 3x6 would be good. It probably really just depends on your taste.
