That could easily be achieved by selecting a variety that grows large, by providing the optimum growing conditions, and by timely clippiing of terminal growth. Planting a couple of smaller varieties a bit too close can also achieve similar results.

There are countless of coleus cultivars with the most varieties and hybrids being offered online unless you have a great, locally owned garden center nearby.

If you have a vision of the color in your mind, perhaps you can go through some online catalogs for ideas.

since its not really grown for a flower.. there is no reason they cant be pinched back ... like a lot of us do with mums... to make nice round balls of those.. for fall pleasure ...

and the pinching will root rather freely

Agreed....pinch/cut off flower stems regularly. Provide optimal growing conditions.

Also ditto what ken said....gardeners love talking bout their hobby.

I don't pinch the flowers off. Butterflies enjoy them too much. It's not necessary to reduce the height at all to have bushy plants.
