Citrus plant issues (pictures included)

Hi, I'm a first time visitor to this forum. I'm mainly here because I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my citrus trees.

I've uploaded some pictures of the leaves, which are the only symptom indicators I'm aware of and would really appreciate advice from some of the more knowledgeable folks here.

I should note that my initial research led me to conclusions that varied from over watering to boron toxicity, sodium toxicity, magnesium deficiency. More than anything I need advice from someone with past experience and a discerning eye.

Thank you, to anyone who takes some of their time to help me figure out what to do to help my trees.

Looks like several issues; an apparent deficiency of Mg and Mn, which can be compounded by a high pH soil and/or cool weather. The brown leaf tips are an indication of salt toxicity, which can be partly solved by a good flushing of the soil. Your new growth appears to be better; so these issues could now be only history. If your soil pH is over 7.5, it might be a good idea to add some soil sulfur to lower it; and sulfur is good for most citrus.

Thank you for the reply.

I've measured the soil pH and it is not over 7.5 (it read 6.5 iirc) and from what I understand that falls within the acceptable range for citrus trees.

I will have to look further into the Magnesium and Manganese deficiency and do some reading about it. Thanks again.

Hello,

It was good to find this post as I was experiencing this very same thing. I had the very same symptoms with my young potted lemon tree. I had done alot of research and tried to do my very first gritty mix and it has since had new growth, but I am not so sure I am out of the woods yet. How did yours end up and what did you do to correct the problem?
