Names can't ever seem to be simple

Although I always knew this as Dendrobium x superbiens I've found a reference to as "x Vappaculum x superbiens". So it's said to be a naturally occuring cross between Dendrobium bigibbum and Dendrobium discolor in some references. But other references give it as a natural intergeneric hybrid between Vappodes bigibba and Durabaculum undulatum, although acknowledging that it was known until recently as Dendrobium x superbiens. But they don't give a date for the change.

Common Name: The Really Nice Dendrobium
