Soak seed overnight, expose to brief moist chill (approx. 40F) of 2 - 4 weeks. Move to 65-70F for germination.

What media would you recommend I put it in after the chill? Would the simple tiny greenhouses with the peat rounds be okay? What about light needs?

Kyle, the chill needs to be moist, you could use a little moist sterile vermiculite or moist sterile sand there. You would seem to be close to last frost following the month or so it will take these to germinate....if you have some place protected outside when they have germinated I would put them (gradually acclimating them to wind, changes in temp etc) in bright indirect light or morning sun, not full sun.

I don't like the peat rounds much myself and don't find they result in good initial root development. I'd use pots with drainage holes and a good quality potting mix formulated for use in containers.

While I would use Jiffy7s for tomatoes, I would never, ever attempt a tree seedling, even for a day or 2 in them. As Morz says - it is all about a good root development - I prefer to stratify mine in deep pots overwinter so they can get a really good straight root system going. Waiting on cedrus atlanticus right now.
