This was very easy...Contact your American Window Film area rep...They apply all our protective window film(which I make all my clients install-the sun is not our friend causing fabric and wood fading, drying and warpage of fine furniture) The Low-e protection that "comes with" todays new windows is NOT enough protection. The films help with your heat bill as well. These same guys have a variety of decorative films as well. ( We recently installed Japanese paper film to some french doors). This particular film is plain frosted BUT, by leaving a 3/4" gap at the edge it opens it up so it does not feel too closed in. The way the light plays with this gap adds interest and sparkle and it looks so much more professional. I would not attempt to do this with over the counter contact paper...
