Could be winter stress. Also, I think they normally drop leaves in spring. Keep them watered and give them some time to get established.

it could be transplant stress .. with the damaged leaves.. not showing until winter stress ...

no evergreen holds its leaves forever.. and it is extremely common for some to be shed after planting ... and perhaps excess due to poor planting.. poor stock.. or poor proper watering ... my preferred excuse is the seller didnt take care of them well .. lol ...

i cant quite tell from the pic.. but look to the ends of the branches.. are they still green and vibrant.. and do the buds look like they will get going.. if so.. it should fill out this season ..

be sure to not let them dry out this summer... especially in the heat of summer.. or if there is any drought ...

Thanks Ken. They are really yellowing all over... Some at the bottom, top, and middle. The soil stays moist for a few days after a rain or watering... I wonder if the roots are staying too wet. We had a rain four days ago and the soil is still cool and moist to the touch.

I I guess I will leave them and keep watering and fertilizing in this spot. If they just continue to get worse after a while, maybe I will try to move them to the backyard where they would get some more sun...

once the leaf is shutting down.. yellowing.. the problems or spots that follow.. dont mean much to me ...

they are stressed.. not hungry.. i would not fert ...

you are amending the soil for an acidic plant ... have you ever had a soil test done??

i would stop loving them to death.. and just insure proper watering.. for the rest of the season.. to just let them settle in ...
