Tile for Perimeter overflow spa

What is the tile you used for the spa? Ids the spa full covered with the tile or have pebble tec on the bottom?
What is the pebble tec color of the pool? Thanks!

    I understand where your contractor is coming from but I do t find tile to be uncomfortable as long as it is smooth. It would be less expensive to do pebble rather than tile the entire spa but you would loose that reflective quality you get with glass tile. If you used a jules series tile from nptpool.com I would think you would be ok. We are doing a sunshelf with that now and I think it will be very comfortable.

      Thank you for your prompt answer. Our pool builder is telling us not to have all glass tile spa since it will be uncomfortable for seating.. he is suggesting to have only glass tile outside of the spa and frame and pebble tec on the seating area.....Have you heard something similar? I really like the look of the whole tile spa.

      Thanks for the suggestion, but We have to go with the contractor tiles options, which is nice but not sure I will get the overflow deep end spa idea I want. I have choosen ct-glv 13 nero glass tile.

      Apex Landscape, I have one more question for you... would you find tile to be more slippery than pebble tec for the SPA? would htis be unsafe? Need to tell the contractor today if I want all tile or pebble tec matching the spa tile color; afraid of having 2 different pebble tec for the spa and pool

      I don't personally find 1" tile to be too slippery due to the increased frequency of grout joints however I believe that pebble would be less slippery them tile. That being said I am comfortable putting one inch tile on horizontal surfaces. Hope that helps. Thanks
