Hi. I am looking for decor suggestions for my dining room such as art work, lighting, window treatments and some personality. The room is 9'x10' with 9' ceilings. I have two empty frames on the right wall and an empty area on the left wall. There is no extra space for a crezenda or buffet. I was thinking of wallpapering the left wall or placing a large whimiscal canvas on it. The table wasily sits 6 and has two extensions to fit 10 people; when that occurs I turn the table lengthwise and it sits partially a common/open space. Directly across from the dining room is a powder room, to the left is a spare bedroom, entrance to the crawl space and the entrance to the house. To the right is a open concept kitchen/office/family room (currently under minor renos). The house is very dark and traditional in style and I am hoping to lighten and brighten it up.I like eclectic, scandinavian, contemporary styles. Please help.
