Will gray paint go with blue/white bedding and lamps?

I want to update from the current beige I have, but am unsure about going gray as I wonder if it will be too 'cold'. The bedding has a range of blues from dark to light-pretty classic look with medium tone wood furniture. I'm stuck in the beige rut but want to have a fresh look that I can live with, feel restful for a bedroom , and yet not be too 'trendy'.
