IDing a bulb

I found a set of bulbs in the woods near my house. It's in a spot where there were inhabitants about 100 years ago, but the home has been long gone for 50+ years. So maybe not it's not native to the woods. The foliage looked a lot like pictures I've seen of Clivia, but I know that's not it. It is 18-24" tall, droops with the length, 3/4" wide blades with rounded tips. I'm in east TN (7b). First pic is when I first found it in late February. It's much taller now. 2nd pic is of the ones I tried to move close to my house that are wilted.

Maybe naked ladies (Lycoris)? I don't have them myself, but the leaves look like the pictures I have seen. If so, the leaves will persist then disappear (June). Then, in late summer, the flowers will appear without the foliage (August). They are also called "naked ladies". Link to some info is Here

Here we see daffodil foliage at that time of year. Some of mine put out that really long foliage.

You're probably too cold for Amaryllis? Hope you get bloom next year and we can see what it is.

I'd go with Daffodil.

Possibly- that area has a lot of daffodils. They are much wider/longer blades, though, and the daffodils are a tiny, old variety. No blooms at all so I guess i'll keep watching it.

Lycoris does look like a strong contender from looking at images. (Never seen them myself).

That looks like it! Sprouting with the daffodils and the shape. I will check on it in July for the flowers. I damaged the ones I brought to my yard so they probably won't survive.

Surprise lilies was my guess too. Don't expect bloom for a year after you move them, they don't like to be disturbed. Can be very aggressive spreaders.
