The last step for my new design is to choose the lighting design. I will have under cabinet lighting as well as in blue in photo a pendant light over the sink and over the small "island". I was thinking 2 rows of 5 recessed lights. 20 inches from the end walls and then about 40 inches apart in each direction. The first row positioned above the edge of the counter top. There are lights in the cooktop hood as well. Any advice on this, as well as a size and type of fixture. I prefer a warmish color on dimmer, maybe 3000k. Should I put them on two zones? Pendants separate of course. Ceilings are 94 inches and next to the island is floor to ceiling pantry. Due to structure and fireplace behind the pantry, removing the wall behind pantry is not in the cards and I am happy with layout as is. Thanks all.
