i have an 8 foot long, by 2-1/2 foot wide planting area for beans. i'm trying to figure a way to maximize this area. i would have liked to have two rows since it's over 2 feet wide, but there is a 6 foot fence (length-wise) on the east side of the planting area, so if i was to make two rows, the beans on the west side will likely shade the beans on the east side when the sun starts to dip west.

so by the looks of it, i can only get by doing one single row of beans? unless there are some other tips for placement for each vine to make more use of the width of the planting area. there is a horizontal pole 6-7 feet high across the center of the 2-1/2 foot width bed. will be growing kentucky wonder and blue lake.
