I usually get about a 95% germination rate with my tomatoes every year. This year out of 72 containers I only got 50 to germinate. I don't know what I did differently this year other than the fact that I used tall humidity domes to accelerate the germination process. Most of my seedlings germinated within 5 days. The rest of the 50 germinated a few days later. The variety I am having most difficulty with is the Red Rose (which I got as a bonus when I ordered my seeds). My heating mats are set at 85 degrees and have been there for about two weeks. I'm still trying to germinate the last 20 containers without the humidity domes but I'm not feeling too confident at this point. I had no issues germinating eggplant, peppers, basil, mint and annual flowers using the humidity domes. Thoughts?
