Dolly Parton- Humongous, very fragrant, and shapely

Lynn Andersen

Midas Touch and Marco Polo. Hard to tell, but Marco Polo is a darker yellow. Both strikingly yellow roses that don't seem to fade to very white.

Centennial Star- very unique looking

Tiffany

Paris de Yves St. Laurent in the front and Tiffany in the back.

Unknown red in the front (Maybe Ingrid Bergman, and Christian Dior in the back)

Christian Dior- Very eye catching blooms that are more dark pink with a pointed shape

Christian Dior- Very eye catching blooms that are red with a pink reverse. Almost all buds had a pointed exhibition shape. All buds are on long, strong and straight stems just asking to be displayed indoors.. Passed this one up so many times.. On my list for next year.

Great pics - all! Is Centennial Star fragrant? HMF says very. Heirloom Roses says lightly.

Al Peinhardt, I didn't get any fragrance from Centennial Star, but then again my nose absolutely fails when it comes to rose fragrance. I could have a vase filled with Mister Lincoln indoors and I won't smell anything. The only thing that has ever been consistently and strongly fragrant for me are Arabian Jasmine, Champaca, and Tuberose.

Centennial Star is extremely beautiful and unique looking though, and even if it didn't smell I think it's exotic blooms are worth it.

Thanks, Dan, I think you're right. I went ahead and added it to my Heritage wish list after posting my question. My biggest problem now is finding a space for it. My cutting garden is almost full. Everything inside the wire is safe. Everything else is deer food. Do I give up having a 2nd Jude the Obscure or a 3rd Folklore to get CS? Hard choices.

Folklore is a beautiful rose, but I'd get rid of the 3rd for a Centennial Star. Real Estate for roses is so precious for me that any second must now go in a pot now!
