Penstemon ambiguus/sand-bush penstemon

I had a few wild sand/bush penstemon growing in our front yard here in Springdale, UT. We often get temps below the teens in the winter, and my husband thought they were dead weeds and pulled them up :-O I'm trying to find a resource that might sell seeds or even the plants - I'll take anything.

I did find them on the ALPLAINS catalog (which I frequently use b/c we can only have natives to our region), but their penstemon ambiguus is a lavender/purple color, and the ones we have here in sw Utah are more pink/white.

Does anyone happen to have any clue as to where to get seeds or this plant?

I would try the seeds from ALPLAINS. There is bound to be some variance among the flower colors simply do to them being a wildflower. Maybe they just took the pic of the plants with the deepest colored flowers.

FWIW, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center shows the flowers being almost completely white.

I have a husband like that. Mine weedate three small Madrone trees into non existence one day.

Southwestern native seed has "pink" ones collected in NM. They are an old fashion kind of place . No site to order from just a site that shows product and a address to mail the order sheet and check too. I have used them twice and they really are for real. The no telephone was the oddest part.They do have some interesting seeds though..I would get more than one pack because this Penstemon is hard to germinate.
