Martinbird Tree Farm on highway 37 in Tuttle is awesome. He's been around forever, has good prices and doesn't charge tax on stuff he grows there. We've purchased most our big trees from him. Cash or check only FYI.

Yes I use Martinbird to. But he only sells ball and burlap and only digs them in winter when they are dormant.

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. I am not familiar with it. I prefer container-grown trees due to some bad experience with b/b trees (they had the bad fortune to be planted the fall before the summer of 2011), but won't rule them out. I will check Martinbird out!

I also use Martinbird, but that's because he's only a couple of miles from me. Zero complaints though. He follows OSU's Oklahoma Recommended species very closely.
