My 36/18/12" deep container pond was fun last year until the mosquitoes (raccoons ate fish) and the algae (marimo balls helped some). Plus I was away too much in summer to keep topped up.

I have a dwarf papyrus and a horsetail and a tiny fern that survived. Do I have to use peat or can I just go mud?

Mostly indirect light but for noon sun.
