I did it for the Hoya (and yet, off topic)

I have struggled to quit smoking for years, and am happy to say that it has been 7 days since I smoked!!!

As soon as I started looking at my habit in terms if plants it meant I couldnt buy (it was a Hoya a day habit I tell ya!) , things just got that much easier.

So, hurray, huzzah, and eeeeek I can't wait for my reward to arrive, cuttings of H. lobbii and D. hirsuta (red) ordered from Denise. Maybe not entirely off topic afterall. ;P

Congratulations on quitting smoking,. I guess you'll have to find room for lots of Hoyas. :-)

Kim, whatever excuse you can use to kick a habit, but this has to be the best one I've heard so far! I'm on a diet - I have a hip that's been hurting me for longer than I care to admit, and it's getting harder and harder to stand for long and water, and especially go up and down my little step stool to water plants on the uppermost shelves in my GH. Maybe this could be even more motivation to stick with it... "If I don't get the weight off to improve my hip, I'll have to get rid of all plants above this shelf." Now THAT feels like a great motivator!
