if you have somewhere else to move them .. take a small hand trowel ... cloudy day ... and move them around.. dig new hole first .... unless you have 2 trowels ....

try some in pots ... but do thin them out ...

and it probably goes without saying... dont sow so many next year ...

Looking at the space you have, you will need to move a great deal of them out. Depending on the type of zinnia you planted, they will need anwhere from 3"-12" spacing between plants. What kind did you sow? On a happier note... Lucky you! I love zinnias. They are great for a fast and easy filler in the garden for me. Plus there are really so many different types and colors. They are all just beautiful. :)
