Thanks Irisgal! The camera is a Sony DSC-HX400V. It's a model that's a couple yrs old, but really nice and easy to use and has the Karl Zeiss lens. I love it!! I zoomed in on that hummie about 12-14ft away.

Inga, when I say BS, I'm talking black spot, not mold! Almost all my roses have it right now.

Sharlene, I'm loving my new camera! Only (minor) problem is it still doesn't always get in focus when the wind is blowing. It was pretty bad this morning. I ended up scrapping several pics that were out of focus. But the way the wind has been lately, it's not surprising.

Lovely roses!!! It's so wonderful that you have such a large collection!! It's like a rose party!! The hummer is so beautiful!! I wish we had some in our yard.

Um, you are making my resolution not to buy another single rose this year hard to stick to. I've gotten 31 already with 8 more due this week. All but 8 have/will go in the ground. Yours are so lovely. I've looked at World War II Memorial several times and may have to give in.
