I use half and half Miracle Grow and perlite for my violet mix. They probably need repotting now and then once or twice a year. You might want to read previous posts on this forum to learn more about raising violets. Yours may need more than just a repot. I am a fairly newbie to violets and there is a good bit of a learning curve. Your's are probably healthy or they would not have survived this long. As long as you don't bring in more plants, they should stay that way.

Leon that is exactly the website I was reading about them on. I am sure they need repoting because they are still in the little pots she bought them with the foil wrapped around them. I I will post a pic of them.
