I knew it was mild this winter, but...

10 years ago

I was puttering around the front garden this morning when I dug through some leaf litter and spotted these...

two hardy viola survivors! (I didn't clean up last fall before the snow fell). Min temps reached about -27c, but the roots were covered by snow. Does anyone overwinter these regularly?
