Pruning a Bloodgood

I have a Bloodgood that is planted to the East of a large Ash & large Silver Maple so that it gets morning sun, but afternoon shade. The tree is thriving, but it is much denser on the East side. Somewhat to be expected I guess. My question is, if I thin out the denser side will it stimulate new growgth all over, or just more on that side. Any suggestions?

It could stimulate some growth - pruning during the active growing season does trigger growth. However, if one side is much more shaded than the other, it will always be somewhat sparser with foliage than the side that receives more light, regardless of pruning. It is just the plant's natural response to more sunlight - sunlight = strong photosynthesis = strong leaf development.
