I don't have a lot of room and I want to put some plants outside on nice days when the deck gets nice and warm. I have some other plant containers that I can put over the trays/peat pots so they get warm without the sun on them but I have some longer trays that are a bit more difficult to put out. Some have seedlings in them and others don't' have any. Can I place the ones without seedlings outside in the sun with the plastic dome tray on them? I've read that I should not place seedlings in direct sunlight because it is too hard on them but what about the plastic covers? Windows tune down the sun power so I have some of these large trays behind the patio doors to get sun but I'd like to move more outside out of the way and out of harms way (3 dogs and 2 cats).

I do put them in a closet with a heating cube going to make it slightly warmer and I have others hanging inside out hard blinds between them and the windows creating a warm environment. The peat pots I've put into smaller tuperware basins and cover with larger rubbermaid containers outside to keep the direct sun off them but I'm at a lose for the bigger trays. Should I put them out and cover with a towel? Could I makeshift a greenhouse with seran wrap (that way I can use several layers of wrap or a less clear see through one we have at home here) for the seedlings so I can place the whole tray out? Or should I move the seedlings out from the seeds and place the tray out? Would direct sunlight on the trays hurt it? I'm worried something might sprout while it's out there and get hurt.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
