I've posted here previously and mentioned that I am a casual grower. I don't use lights or wick my plants. Until yesterday (I went to my first show and sale and picked up 3), I only had 8 different plants and 5 of them are NOIDs. I was watching a YouTube video about multiple crowns and realized I had a plant like that. I separated them and repotted but it was my first time and only one survived. I accidentally knocked it over and had to start it with no roots. Of course I found out later that I didn't do it quite right. This was back in June. Believe it or not, with all of my mistakes, it survived and just opened it's first bloom. The weird thing is, I don't remember having a plant that looks like it. At the same time this was going on, I started my first ever leaves and my first plantlet has an open bloom. Of course, I didn't label anything! Based on the leaves, I thought this was going to be a plantlet from the crown that I started, but the flower isn't like it at all, in fact I don't have a mother plant with this bloom. I know plantlets don't always bloom the same as the mother, so is this what might have happened?
