Bill, those are both outstanding!! I have tried until blue in the face to either get seeds or use her pollen successfully. Now I know what cross will take and since received a mislabel for Bogota this season, maybe my older one with rise to the occasion sometime during the summer!!

I can't believe how similar the seedling on the right is to Ruby Star!!! If I didn't know it was a seedling, at first glance (second glance too) I would swear it was Ruby Star!!! Wonderful!!!

They're gorgeous. I like how one got mama's stamen color and the other got papa's. Perfect siblings... sharing traits of both parents.

The stamens are a sure way to tell the original Ruby Star from her baby. I can't wait to see Evergreen and Ruby Star... there should be some beauties in that bunch!

Congratulations! A very good cross of two outstanding parents. Both are beautiful, good sized flowers born on strong scapes, good flower count and both are proven performers.

I can't wait to see them either, I'm sure they'll be stunning :-)))) I have these too but it never occurred to me to cross them. Of course this spring I had a huge scape of Bogota ready to flower when I bumped into it and broke it clean off (insert a whole mess of cuss words here). I put in in a vase to at least see the blooms...sigh. So now I'll have to wait until next year to attempt any crosses.
