Hi Steel, You dont have your messaging set up so I cant message you.

For tech help, go to this newbie post and see the 2nd posting on the thread which will tell you how to set up your messaging and more --

    http://forums2.gardenweb.com/discussions/3800479/newbie-seed-project-april-2016-only?n=19

I only have 6 castor been seeds left. I had more, but I gave them away. I have never actually grown them, as I have small dogs, so didnt want to take a chance that they might eat some.

If you're still interested, set up your messaging and send me a message with your address.

OK, thank you. I'm probably missing out on a lot of forum info not being in the messaging system I guess. I came across discussions re swapping seeds, but I didn't know how to get on it. I have tons of seeds to swap. I'm a seed collector addict also. Its terrible. All those neat seeds just going to waste; can't stand it. HAHA

OK, I think I registered. But its not obvious to me how to message. sorry. Can you send the castor beans now. I have lots of other seeds to trade. I read that a lot of people couldn't get them to germinate. Hope I have luck with them. I have to find a way to get rid of all these gophers. They are digging everywhere in my yard. And under my favorite roses too!

I have three different types of castor bean seeds. I've got the green one, the red one, and the New Zealand Purple.

yonatin, do you want to trade for some or? I heard they are hard to germinate so I would like to get a number of them just in case some don't make it. Thank you.

They aren't too hard to germinate they just need warmth. I would be will to trade for some, what do you have?

Lots of rudbeckia, poppy (dbl red, light pink), 4 oclocks, and I'll have to look what else.

sixtoomanycats - GOOD post. Thanks for the list of "poisonous". I was told morning glories are too, and also datura, but no way am I NOT planting those. And DARN about the castor bean plant. I was so excited to hear they repel gophers. I have HUGE ones and don't know how to get rid of them. I've tried, drowning them, pouring bleach down hole, moth balls, putting hot peppers down the hole, and.... they are still here and having a great time in my lawn and gardens!

I usually put a water hose down the hold and drown them out. I know it sounds horrible!! And sometimes takes a while but most of the time it works. They usually come up in a random place in your yard. They will be water logged and you can take them somewhere else and let them go or you can kill them.. I have a ton of caster bean seeds of you want some!

Sue, I have some castor beans I received in a trade. I'm afraid one of my dogs is going to eat them so I am not using them. You want them ... they're yours.

sure I'll take them. But I guess I'm skeptical if it really will get rid of my gopher problem. But I hope so..... email me please steelskies@yahoo.com
