Looks lovely. I'd opt for a bolder color rug.

A bigger, bolder rug would be great like Barbara said. You could paint the wall that is right of the door (when looking at the door from the inside) a bold color since it is blank. It would help create some interest.

Move the bench further away from the entry door. Remove the items from the top of it. They look as though if someone sat on the bench, they could come tumbling down. Perhaps hang the things above the bench to the opposite wall to balance the space. I agree with a wider, longer rug.

Yes we agree a full length hall wider hall runner would add much more depth to this area.

You have a very pretty entry....I love the color! Yes, larger colorful rug, remove the things from the top of the bench, remove the large vase.

Larger rug, maybe basket for the hall tree, pillows or cushion to soften it and remove the twiggy vase. Mirror looks too High and out of place.

based on your size of the area, would suggest a rug 4" wide and 14 feet long. This will fill the space better and make it flow
