Powdery mildew? It is a common fungal issue due to high humifity and overhead watering. Read more about it here:

Thanks for responding. At first I thought it was powdery mildew too. But from what I read you can check by wiping leaf. Nothing comes off when I wipe it (thats why the left side of leaf is more damaged). I tried and tried to wipe it off. Could it still be powdery mildew?

How strange. If it did not come off when you rubbed your hand against it then it may not be PM but still keep an eye for further leaf changes.

This time of the year, you can also see frost, cold and sun damage too. But they normally the affected areas of the leaves turn dark green, not translucent like that. But see what happens with time.

Some rare cases of soil pH issues have caused translucent spots but I have never seen those cases so please check the soil pH in the strange case that it is alkaline. I sort of doubt it because you normally would see more yellow color in the leaves and always dark green veins but check anyways.

Curling can occur when there are some insects present or when the breeze brings pesticides in contact with the leaves. Check for those too. They normally would not cause translucent leaves either.

Since it is new, perhaps it is sunburn. Sometimes when a plant gets moved from a shadier setting in a nursery to a sunnier area it will exhibit issues that look very like what you are showing there.

My thought was sunburn as well.
