Bathroom Toilet Area

Hello All, Attached are photos of my bathroom. Please help us decide how to accent the toilet area in our bathroom. I want to stagger floating shelves (not sure what the color to use for the shelves)over the toilet and my husband wants to add the cabinet over the toilet. The cabinet has a glass insert for the door. What do you all think? I was thinking of putting the metal art (2) on the opposite wall.
