I have a cybister that is just about to bloom (flowers will probably finish opening tomorrow) and the only pollen I have is Giraffe. I'll try pollinating the blooms and see if I get any seedpods.

Nice - it will be interesting to see the results. What kind of cybister is it?

They are unique and very different!! I must admit that in haven't tried pollinating with Giraffe but if I get the opportunity this year I will as I'm sure I have some frozen pollen. Love them all!!

These are all very beautiful and congratulations because I know Giraffe can be a little picky to grow. I had one several years ago and sadly it didn't make it but just recently, the Bulb Fairy (Angel) sent me one and I will try my very best to keep her going :-)))

I just crossed Giraffe with Papilio 1804 today. I hope I get some blooms as interesting as yours.

Hippiezep, I didn't mark the pot when I planted it, so I am not sure. It's a green and red variety, probably Lima (which I do remember ordering). The petals aren't looking as striped as a typical Lima though... I'll have to give it a day or two for the flowers to develop and I'll be able to tell a little more about which variety it might be.

Raymond not sure how a giraffe x papilio cross would go - I would expect a similar stripy papilio type, but I never found out. I ordered Papilio three times, and each time they failed to flower and died. My crosses are all with either night star or Lima (cybister varieties).
