You need better landscaping in the garden. More and varied shrubs and perennials. Also I think the jacuzzi is a bit of an eyesore and takes up valuable space. Stain the fence and shed but NOT a brick color!

I'm sure this yard looks a heck of a lot better when the trees are leafed out and annual flowers are in the garden beds. I think a brown/black stain on the fence, shed & pergola would make them recede and colorful annual plants would stand out. I like to use white or yellow annuals because you can see them at night. Paint the shed door a fun colour.

Photo 2, large colorful urn, perennials. Stella D'oro daylilies, purple coneflower and black eyed susan for sun areas.

Photo 3, Lime hydrangeas, (they are available in dwarf size too if you need it) and japanese forest grass border for areas that have afternoon shade, morning sun is ok.
